Abstract: With the ever changing requirements in the audio market, there have been many advancements in audio amplifier topologies. Knowing the types of audio amplifiers available and the characteristics associated with them is essential in selecting the best audio amp IC for your application.
A new method for printing electronics has just been discovered, and it could change the manufacturing process, making it faster and less expensive. The new method, developed by researchers at the University of Cambridge in collaboration with Cambridge-based technology company Novalia, uses graphene and other conductive materials that can open up a wide range of commercial applications.
AMICCOM, located in Taiwan Hsinchu Science Park, announces new Bluetooth Low Energy product, named A8107SiP. A8107SiP is a silicon-in-package (SiP) product and it includes A8107 and RF match circuit inside. It has 24 GPIO with multi-functions and ICE (In-Circuit Emulator). There are UART, I2C, SPI, four channels PWM, one 16-bit timer and two 8-bit timers within 24 GPIO. A8107 has two resolution ADCs. One is 12bits with 8 channels to measure external voltages and the other is 8bit for RSSI measurement.
Egis Technology (Egistec) has reportedly grabbed fingerprint sensor orders for Samsung's new Galaxy A8-series smartphones, while Goodix Technology is expanding its business in China by launching a touchscreen controller and fingerprint sensor bundle sales strategy, according to industry sources.
An 8051 MCU IP core, claimed to be the world’s fastest, has been introduced by DCD. Boasting a Dhrystone 2.1 performance rating of 0.27292 DMIPS/MHz, the DQ8051 IP core is 29.01 times faster than the original 80C51 chip operating at the same frequency. In addition, the IP core consumes as a little as 1.2µW/MHz. The closest competitor is 26 times faster than the original 80C51 chip and consumes almost two times more power than the DQ8051.
