RAMCHECK Temperature Sensor Support for DDR3

Date: Thursday, January 19 @ 08:23:19 SE Asia Standard Time
Topic:

Many DDR3 modules, including DIMMs and SODIMMs, include an embedded temperature sensor. These sensors allow the motherboard controller to read the actual temperature of the module. The sensor can also provide an alarm signal when certain temperature conditions occur.

Customers with the DDR3 Series adapter (INN-8668-16) and the latest firmware can now monitor this sensor, displaying the actual operating temperature on the structure screen after Basic Test and in various locations within the Test Log. Both the RAMCHECK LX with firmware version 3.18 and RAMCHECK with firmware version 2.50 support these temperature sensors. (Note: The sensors must be JEDEC JC42.4 compliant.)

Much more information about this new feature is available in an application note that we have prepared for you:
